Prof. Maxim Sokol
Principal Investigator
Prof. Maxim Sokol is an Associate Professor at Tel Aviv University's Department of Materials Engineering and Science, where he leads the Advanced Ceramics Laboratory. He received his B.Sc, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Physics and Materials Engineering from Ben-Gurion University. After completing his Ph.D., Prof. Sokol worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Drexel University's Department of Materials Science and Engineering. During his time at Drexel, Prof. Sokol worked on a variety of MAX and MXene-related projects in the Layered Solids Laboratory. He has received several prestigious grants and prizes, including the DIP German-Israeli Project Cooperation Research Grant, the ISF Individual Research Grant, and the Louis and Bessie Stein Family Fellowship. Prof. Sokol has published over 50 papers and holds several patents.
